Suspected Email Scam: mybank.icbc.com.cn
The Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) wishes to alert the public about a suspected email scam. An email which purported to be issued by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICB) states that the Bank has completed a system upgrade, and requested the customers to log in their accounts via the homepage http://mybank.icbc.com.cn which is provided with the email. ICB Macao Branch has clarified that it and its Head Office do not have any relationship with these fraudulent websites.
The public should be aware that they should never access a bank homepage via the link provided in email, and should ascertain the correct domain name of the bank homepage before logging in.
Anyone who has received such email, provided his or her personal information via the abovementioned homepage or transacted with it should contact ICB Macao Branch (tel: 786338) and Judiciary Police immediately.
