There are other institutions under the supervision of AMCM, including eleven money changers, six exchange counter, two cash remittance companies, two financial intermediaries and one representative office of other financial institution. These institutions were authorized under their respective legislation, namely, Decree-Law no. 38/97/M of 15^th September for money changers, Decree-Law no. 15/97/M of 5^th May for cash remittance companies, and articles 116 to 120 of Part III of the Financial System Act for financial intermediaries and other financial institutions.
